FAQ

What if I cannot find available times with a therapist on the schedule?
When booking your appointment, first select a Service Category from the drop-down options. You MUST then select the exact time frame you are looking to have: 30, 60, 75, or 90 minute session. Then, you can choose to select Staff or Date and Time to search for available options. If you are still having trouble finding what you need, give us a call and our front desk staff will be happy to assist you: 703-522-7637
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Because your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, appointments missed, cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24-hour notice will be charged 50% of the full amount. To avoid being charged for a missed appointment, we invite you to send a friend or family member in your place. If we can fill your late cancelled or rescheduled appointment with someone on the waiting list you will be notified and not charged. It is each clients’ responsibility to remember their appointments.  Confirmation emails and/or texts (according to the chosen preference in your profile) are sent 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointments.
What if I need to cancel my class/workshop?
Please cancel no later than 24 hours before your class/workshop in order to avoid full charge for the missed reservation.  We do not refund for late cancellations or missed classes/workshops. If you know you won’t make it to the class/workshop please cancel via your online account or send an email to feelbetter@tealcenter.com, so your spot may be given to another student.
What happens in case of inclement weather?
We do ask that you wait to cancel your appointments until the day of the appointment in the event that the weather does not present as predicted. Any appointments cancelled the day of the appointment due to snow and ice will not be charged in accordance with our 24-hour cancellation policy. In addition, we ask our clients for their understanding if a therapist is not able to make it to their appointments because of inclement weather.

Do you accept health insurance?
We do not submit insurance claims and are not affiliated with any provider group. Our experience has been that, when recommended by a referring specialist i.e. physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc. massage therapy is occasionally covered by health insurance plans. We advise you call your insurance company to find out if you have massage therapy coverage, if so, what is the reimbursement protocol for out-of-network facilities. Please be clear that you are receiving massage therapy services, not physical therapy. Insurance companies who do reimburse typically require a medical diagnosis code. If you have a diagnosis code from a referring specialist, we will include it, along with our treatment codes, on the medical receipt we provide. If required, we are happy to provide treatment notes and payment history for your personal records.  We will communicate directly with your insurer at their request only. Our services are usually an allowed expense for medical savings accounts and flexible spending accounts .
What should I do if I’m sick the day of my appointment?
In the interest of everyone’s health and safety please do not come in if you have a cold or other contagious illness. There is no charge if you must cancel because you’re sick.
Do I need to tip my therapist?
If you’d like to leave a tip for your therapist, you can do so with cash, check, Venmo/Paypal/Zelle or with your credit card during check-out. Our front desk can provide you with a QR code for your specific practitioner’s account. (Please note that 5% of credit card tips go to cover transaction fees and taxes and there is a $10 minimum on credit card charges.)
